24 Hours of Le Mans

Having never been to Le Mans I wasn’t sure what to expect. We started off boarding a ferry in Portsmouth for a three-hour journey to Cherbourg and it was clear that fellow British travelers had petrol in their veins given the wide range of cars on display. From a Morris Minor covered with Le Mans 24hr stickers on it to numerous Porsches, Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, Jaguars and other supercars in various states of stickered livery. My own transport was the very sporty supercharged Lotus belonging to my host and attracting well deserved attention…

British GT 2019: Round 3 Silverstone

Following a disappointing weekend at Snetterton 3 weeks ago, it was time to head to the home of British Motorsport for the prestigious Silverstone 500 – the only 3-hour race in the season’s calendar. I haven’t raced on the full Grand Prix layout of this famous circuit since my first season in racing, back in 2017 whilst driving the Ginetta GT5 Challenge. However, it is a circuit I am a fan of and one that most definitely suits the car.

British GT 2019: Round 2 Snetterton

Following a first round at Oulton Park which showed promise for the season ahead, I was optimistic heading into the Snetterton weekend. A track that should in theory suit our car and is one I’ve enjoyed in the past when I raced there during the Ginetta Supercup last year. As practice got underway on the Saturday morning, the car balance felt good and we were ready for action with our times. Our used tyre pace was more competitive than our new tyre pace. Heading into qualifying, I was hoping that a top 6 or 7 position would leave Andrew and I in good stead for the races on Sunday.
